| Recently I was told I was an enigma. I found this thought to be rather pleasing actually, I feel mysterious now (although really I am not in the slightest). I tend to over-share and talk a lot about random things that no one (except myself) actually cares about. I blame it all on my imagination. I swear to you, those clouds you just saw and thought of as boring old clouds with maybe a duck thrown in? I saw a complete new world with mystical creatures made of mist and light that no one has ever heard of. That’s just how my brain works. I wouldn’t suggest you try to delve too deep because it’s a scary world that doesn’t make sense. In par with my obvious dreamer side there is the part of me that wants to let those muses out on the world. That tends to happen in the form of painting, drawing, writing or creating things like jewelry and masquerade masks. Then there are the pictures I take with my trusty camera that I got a year ago and still don’t know how to use completely (I procrastinate a lot and hate research okay? I figure things out on my own time!). You’d be amazed at the places and things you can find inspiration from, I’ve written whole stories on a single word, painted creatures born from a walk in the park. There is light and dark in the world, morbidity and mystery and both intrigue me in ways I can’t explain. Sometimes there are scenes in my mind that frighten even myself but I treasure each thought and idea because it is unique. I once read the following and fell in love; “Create. Not because you want to or because the mood grabs you or just because you happen to feel like it. Create because you need to. Because it feels like if you don't, you might die." Beautiful and exceptionally true isn’t it? Let’s live our lives like that. |
